    Ground Segment

    image:13-metre antennaThree new 13-meter multimission satellite antennas capable of supporting POES, DMSP, and NPOESS spacecraft (in the future) were installed at NOAA's Fairbanks, Alaska Command and Data Acquisition (CDA) facility in Fiscal Year (FY) 1998. Two additional 13-meter multimission antennas were installed at NOAA's Wallops Command Data Acquisition (WCDA) in FY 1999. Integration of all five antennas to support fully automated satellite command and control operations was completed in 2001.
