 30-Oct-2002 - The Los Angeles based, Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) office manages the integration, test, and launch of five DMSP polar-orbiting satellites. The operational constellation includes two primary and two secondary spacecraft. The office also manages several ground-based programs, including DMSP terminals and the Space Environmental Support System space weather programs. The system includes worldwide tactical terminals, and global data collection for delivery to worldwide military/national users.
