12/15/2004 —The NPOESS and GOES-R Programs have teamed up for the 85th AMS Annual meeting! Our joint Symposium, Toward a Global Earth Observation System of Systems: Future National Operational Environmental Satellite Systems will be held on Tuesday, January 11, from 8 am to 5:30 pm in room 14 of the San Diego Convention Center. During the Symposium's lunch hour there will be a panel discussion on Potential US Contribution to the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS). A box lunch will be provided for the panel and attendees courtesy of the GOES-R Industry Partners. Immediately following the Symposium, Team NPOESS will be hosting a reception for presenters and attendees.

The Symposium will be expanded through posters in Exhibit Hall B (see symposium agenda for details). You'll be able to speak with authors of GOES-R posters on Tuesday, January 11 from 9:45 to 11 am and authors of NPOESS posters on Wednesday, January 12 from 2:45 to 4:00 pm.

Please be sure to visit us in the Exihibit Hall. NPOESS will be in booth #525 and GOES-R will be with NOAA in booth #401. Meeting registration information is available at:
